  1. Thanks a lot!
But there is a slight mistake in the solution, the value of alpha should be 84.81 instead of 95.19
Correct me if I am wrong

    1. You are right!!
I am also confused about this answer for a long time.
The alpha is equal to 84.81 !!!!

  2. im getting 84.81 too. and I keep seeing multiple source saying the different answer.

  3. So for anyone wondering why the angle is 95 and not 84.81. This is because 95=180-84.81 and they don't show that step.
Hope this helps clear up some confusion

    1. why would you subtract 84.81 to 180? sorry I'm really confused

  4. Because you have an obtuse angle. This is an exception in the law of sines. If you have an obtuse angle, then the law of sines will give you the supplement angle. You can get the obtuse angle by substracting the supplement angle from 180.

  5. Thanks a lot for explaining. I started to doubt the usefulness of using parallelogram method in solving resultant forces.
